Getting used to recording without magnetic tape - February 6, 2010
It has been about seven months since I purchased a computer and software specifically for recording music. Before that, I had been using ADAT's which seemed to be halfway between the old and new way of recording: digital, but with tapes (VHS tapes) I know there was nothing analog about that system except what I put at the front end (effects, echoplex, analog mixer etc.) but it was still somehow comforting to pop that tape in the slot at the start of a session. None of that now, just opening files and the like. I know a few folks that say they do not like mixing with a mouse, but that is way down on a list of dislikes in the digital recording process. I do think a bigger monitor would help me by fitting more tracks on the screen. more later...

HOWDY! I have uploaded an entire 2 set show from the glory days of Liquid pink. unedited, warts and all (mostly warts, maybe)
it was recorded at the long Defunct Gordon Park Pub. Many bands got their start at the GPP. I hope you enjoy the music.

J'auront droit à ce téléchargement bidness. Je vais publier une photo de tous les trucs de cette musique Godforsaken (i.e.reels des bandes, cassettes, damn du CDR) que j'ont été de traction de ville en ville pendant près de 40 ans ! Puis je vais télécharger la musique.
N'hésitez pas à télécharger J'ai beaucoup d'alcool de frottement et q-conseils prêt à Nettoyez mon formats fossilisés, afin qu'ils font leur possible dans le domaine numérique. Bien entendu, j'ai généralement un verre ou deux pendant la conversion
traiter, pour qui sait ce qui se retrouvent dans de 1 et 0, une fois la musique en question a été dispersée... Je suis gratuite!!!! et la musique est autorisée à "PASS à l'autre marge" (comme sur wHisperer Ghost) et je peut enfin arrêter ce déplacement. VOUS ! peut aider ! Je vous remercie, un univers, au revoir!!

I will get with this uploading bidness. I am going to post a photo of all this Godforsaken music stuff ( i.e.reels of tape,cassettes, damn CDR's) that I have been hauling from town to town for almost 40 years!!!!! Then I am going to upload the music.
Please feel free to download .. I have lots of rubbing alcohol and q-tips ready to swab my fossilized formats, so that they do their best in the digital domain. Of course, I am usually having a drink or two during the conversion
process, so who knows what will end up in 1's and 0's, Once The music in question has been dispersed...I AM FREE !!!! and the music will be allowed to "PASS TO THE OTHER SIDE" (like on Ghost wHisperer) and I can finally stop moving it around. YOU! can help! Thank you Universe, goodbye!!
